About Me...
Hi! My name is Charlotte Collins, and I am a Sophomore at Tulane University, majoring in English and Economics, with minors in Design and French. I am particularly interested in the intersections of cultural analysis, fashion, history, art, and theatre. I have proven experience in leadership, collaboration, and creative innovation, complemented by academic and professional achievements.
At Tulane, I am involved in a number of extra-curricular activities. Most recently and most proudly, I stepped into the role of Head of Visuals for Tulane's premier fashion magazine, CORE. I direct photoshoots, act as creative director, and collaborate with a team of artistic inquirers. My primary medium is photography, and I am immersed in detail-oriented work, constantly navigating mathematical and technical complexities and ratios to improve compositions and storytelling.
Furthermore, I am a Website Editorial Writer for Tulane University's Fashion Club, where I have developed excellent communication skills. My writing analyzes fashion and beauty phenomena in spheres beyond the clothes themselves, examining how cultural attitudes and politics have shaped self-expression. Working alongside a team of journalists and an editor has refined my writing, making information more accessible and presenting rhetoric in a balanced, principled manner.
